It is so nice having a condo and the scattered building design is so attractive. The landscaping is perfect. We had a few minor maintenance issues and Daisy immediately sent the maintenance guy-who was so nice and thorough. The beach is the draw. The lounges are always available and also spread out. VOG has a lot of beach and much of it shaded naturally by beautiful trees. This is a place for relaxation. Lots of good places within walking distance-the beach bar and Beach House restaurant at the Westin(adjacent) are great and Luca restaurant is not to be missed. We luckily were able to secure a property at Villas at the Galleon! It is a remarkably tranquil retreat on one of the most beautiful stretches of Seven Mile Beach. With the Ritz Carlton on one side and the Westin on the other, world class dining and other amenities were steps away when we wanted them, but the peace and quiet of our Villa were the core of our getaway! Daisy and the entire staff took the very best care of us and helped insure that our escape was truly stress free! The daily housekeeping was an unexpected benefit that kept everything fresh, thanks to Susie! We’ve already booked next year and are bringing family with us! read less

After checking rates at several hotels, we decided that staying in a condo was the way to go. We chose Villas of the Galleon because of the central location along Seven Mile Beach and because the units there were priced well compared to other condo communities nearby. We stayed in unit #44 (ocean front) and loved everything about it. The entire unit appears to have been remodeled recently, and both bedrooms were bright and spacious. The welcome charcuterie plate and daily housekeeping service were nice touches. One of our favorite features of this unit was the large screened patio, which was basically like an additional room. We ate meals out there and drank our coffee there in the mornings. There were hooks for hanging wet towels, which was very convenient. It was also a good place to keep the paddles and lifejackets for the paddle boards we had rented for the duration of our stay. Being next door to the Westin was a nice perk as we ate at their beach grill for lunch twice and rented a jet ski at the Red Sail booth located there. Each time, we were happy to return to Villas of the Galleon, where the beach was much quieter and less crowded. There were plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas to go around, along with lots of natural shade provided by the trees that lined the beach. We would not hesitate to stay at Villas of the Galleon again and will recommend it to anyone we know who is planning to visit Grand Cayman. read less

The units are ocean front with white soft sandy beaches and blue green Caribbean waters steps away. These units are beautifully appointed, and the office manager at Villas of The Galleon along with the staff are very friendly ,helpful and knowledgeable. Wonderfully equipped units. It is… read moreThis was our second stay at the Villas of the Galleon. We love it and can’t imagine staying elsewhere. It is one of the most peaceful places I’ve ever been. The grounds are immaculate, the beach front is wide open and uncrowded, the rooms are spacious and well appointed, and the location is fantastic. We didn’t even rent a car this trip. No Uber, but taxis were pretty reliable. Even tried the bus system to go to and from Fosters for groceries. Lots of restaurants within walking distance (Tillies, Eats Cafe, Avecita, and restaurants at the Westin and Ritz next door). We enjoyed a couple wonderful boat excursions through Red Sail Sports out of the Westin (again right next door). The units themselves are really comfortable. Big rooms and bathrooms. Nice large kitchen with everything you need. Beds were super comfortable. What makes us come back. What we like most about the Villas is their beach. It is just wide open. To the left and right are super crowded beaches for the Westin and Ritz . rows of chairs and the water packed with people at both hotels. The Villas beach is wide open. Plenty of chairs, tables, and umbrellas for all the guests. We never had a problem finding a spot. This is what makes the Villas special to us. We will be back! read less

The Villas are the best kept secret on the … read moreThe Grand Cayman and the Villas of the Galleon never disappoints! The Villas are the best kept secret on the entire island. Our villa was 50 steps (I counted) from door to “toes in sand” which is incredibly convenient and fun. Run out with a gin-and-tonic in your hand to see the sunset? Easy. Run out to grab some rays? Easy. The villas are nestled in between the Westin and the Ritz. People at those two establishments (bless their hearts) are side-by-side like sardines on the beach. At the Villas? The beach is uncrowded with plenty of room, no getting up at 6 am to reserve a beach chair, and no need to listen to other people’s music. The manager, Daisy, is very helpful—dedicated to making your stay smooth and effortless. Guests / residents are friendly and helpful, as well. Villa #48 was lovely—beautifully renovated bathrooms (gorgeous turquoise glass tiles in one), with the rest fresh and inviting. Pack light—the washer and dryer is a true blessing. We have visited Cayman 7 times (something like 5 at the Villas) so we just did things that brought joy—including the Red Sail Sunset Sail and the Red Sail Stingray Sandbar and Reef. We snorkeled almost every day at Governors Reef–a short walk north to the Governors mansion. You swim out 100 feet and there it is! Fish galore–school of 50+ Blue Tang, huge Rainbow Parrotfish, French Angelfish the size of dinnerplates, a shy Red Crab, an Octopus, gorgeous Spanish Hogfish and so much more. Yes, there was one barracuda–but he came and went quickly. All just for the price of swimming out to the reef and being patient—you can see so much. This is so easy to do b/c we stay at the Villas of the Galleon. Anyway, the Villas of the Galleon are a special find—for anyone that wants the space, convenience, peace and the feel of having your own beach. Thank you so much!
