On June 14, 2025, Grand Cayman will once again welcome swimmers from around the globe for the 33rd annual Flowers Sea Swim. The event is a the world premier open water race, and one of the largest events that take place on Grand Cayman each year.

For the fourth year in a row, Villas of the Galleon is proud to return as a Special Mention Sponsor, hosting the event’s finish line along our stretch of Seven Mile Beach. During the event, our beach becomes a hub of energy as nearly 1,000 swimmers complete their one-mile course, enjoy a slice of pizza and a bottle of water, and then slowly make their way toward the Westin for the award ceremony.

Set against the clear Caribbean Sea and world-renowned white sand, the Flowers Sea Swim is known not only for its ideal conditions but for its inclusive, celebratory spirit. Participants range from age 8 to 80 and include everyone from first-time swimmers to Olympic gold medalists. This year, 10 Olympic and elite athletes will take part in the event.

Beyond the race itself, the Flowers Sea Swim is known for its generosity. With over $100,000 in prizes, including hotel stays, airline tickets, tech gadgets, and more, finishers have a 1-in-7 chance of winning a prize. All registration fees go towards providing free swim lessons for children across the Cayman Islands.

Our Commitment to the Youth and Grand Cayman’s Community:

At Villas of the Galleon, our support of the Flowers Sea Swim is part of a broader commitment to youth development and community well-being with the goal of building a stronger, more resilient Cayman. Our sponsorship helps support the YMCA/Flowers Learn to Swim Program, which provides swim safety education and pool access to children across the local government school system. This initiative directly addresses the urgent issue of preventable child drownings—an area we’re proud to help improve through expanded swim training and awareness.

Whether you’re swimming, volunteering, or cheering from the shore, it’s a remarkable day for the community—and we’re honored to play a part in it. To learn more or register visit the Flower Sea Swim’s Website.

We hope to see you at the finish line!
